Aim | This course covers topics related to workplace safety and health, encompassing areas such as occupational health and safety culture, the national occupational health and safety system, legal frameworks, responsibilities of employers in providing safety services, concepts of occupational accidents and diseases along with associated expenses. Additionally, it will provide an overview of subjects like risk factors affecting safety, factors related to individuals and organizations, and the documentation required for occupational health and safety. Throughout the course, students will delve into safety and health concerns across different types of occupations. Moreover, this course will focus on the Occupational Health and Safety Approach, providing students with an understanding of the historical evolution of Occupational Health and Safety on both global and Turkish fronts. It will delve into fundamental concepts of Labor Law, encompassing topics like employment contracts, working hours, entitlement to breaks, and vacation rights. Within the course, international regulations developed by OSHA will also be examined. |
