The objectives of this course include the understanding and learning of relevant concepts, theories and research related to the topics presented in the course. Human beings interact with others in many different situations and human life develops (i.e. is subject to change) in a social context. Social psychology as a field examines how other people shape an individual's thoughts, feelings and behaviors. In this course, topics such as aggression, research methods, attitudes, group processes, altruism and social influence are examined and students are introduced to social psychology.
