The “Practical Use Diabetes Device” developed by Feyzanur Şentürk, a 4th year student in the Department of Industrial Design at Istanbul Medipol University, was registered by the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office (TÜRKPATENT). The useful model, developed under the supervision of Dr. Fahrettin Ersin Alaca, is a first-class device that allows diabetics to measure their glucose levels quickly and effectively. Unlike existing devices, the device offers the opportunity to monitor instantaneous insulin levels on its modern digital screen and provides users with the convenience of measuring oral or nasal fluids with two different heads. The user-friendly device can make personalized recommendations based on factors, such as age, weight, and activity level, thanks to its ‘Individual Profile Setting’ feature. Also, thanks to the ‘Alarm and Warnings’ feature, users can be reminded when the specified insulin levels are reached and to take measurements within a certain time period. The utility model allows measurement data to be recorded and tracked, thanks to the ‘Data Recording System’. With the help of this feature, users can also observe changes over time.
