Medipol’s graduation excitement comes to an end

The ‘2023-2024 Academic Year Graduation Ceremony’ has ended. In the ceremonies that continued for 10 days, approximately 15 thousand students received their diplomas and experienced the joy of graduation. The ceremonies held at Istanbul Medipol University South Campus were attended by our President Prof. Ömer Ceran and Vice-President Prof. Recep Öztürk, as well as the managers of Medipol Education and Health Group, faculty deans, Vocational School directors, academicians, administrative staff, students and their families. During the ceremonies, students from the following schools, colleges, and vocational schools experienced the joy of graduation: the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, the School of Engineering and Natural Sciences, the School of Communication, the School of Health Sciences, the School of Dentistry, the School of Fine Arts, Design and Architecture, the School of Law, the School of Medicine, the School of Pharmacy, the School of Education, the School of Business and Management Sciences, the International School of Medicine, the College of Health Sciences, the Vocational School of Justice, the Vocational School, the Vocational School of Social Sciences, and the Vocational School of Health Services.

CERAN: WE ARE ALWAYS BY OUR GRADUATES
President Ceran, who delivered the opening speech of the ceremonies, congratulated the graduating students who had a successful education life. At the beginning of his speech, Ceran celebrated the 100th anniversary of the founding of our Republic and also said that he was saddened by the massacre and brutality in Gaza. Ceran said: “As Istanbul Medipol University, we consider your children our children. We tried to do our part in the best way possible to equip them with knowledge. As professional individuals, receiving their diplomas is not the end for us today. We see your children as an integral part of the Medipol family and promise to always be with them. I thank you for raising such successful children and entrusting them to us. Our valuable graduates; Consider being a Medipol graduate one of the most important achievements in your life. The diplomas you receive today not only show that you are an expert in a profession, but also demonstrate that you have qualities, such as hard work, patience, and discipline. Now is the time for you to have fun, take a nice break, and relax. Know that today is one of the best days of your life and enjoy it. My heartfelt congratulations to you all.”

PROF. ÖZTÜRK: THE TARGET IS THE TOP 500
Speaking at the ceremonies, Vice-President Prof. Recep Öztürk said that Istanbul Medipol University, which started accepting students in 2010, has made great progress in terms of both quantity and quality. Expressing that our university focuses on qualitative growth with its integrated quality management system, Öztürk added: “With 5 Institutes, 12 Faculties, 1 College, 3 Vocational Schools, approximately 50,000 graduates and 50,000 students, Istanbul Medipol University has become one of the most preferred foundation universities in Türkiye. For the last 8 years, our university has been the first choice of students who received high scores in the university exam, including Türkiye’s top students. We are proud of reaching our numerical growth target in 15 years. Among more than 32 thousand universities in the world, we aim to be in the top 1,000 institutionally in different systems, in the top 500 in field rankings, and then to be among the top 500 universities in the world as an institution. It is a great success that we are ranked 18th among all universities and 5th among foundation universities in the TÜBİTAK Entrepreneurial and Innovative University Index, and that we have been included in this index for four years thus far.”

Students and their families, who experienced the joy of graduation, took plenty of souvenir photos at various points prepared to immortalize the day during the 10-day ceremonies. The graduation ceremony, which resonated on social media with the hashtag #MedipolMezuniyet2024, was broadcast live on the YouTube account of Istanbul Medipol University.
