Sürdürülebilir Üretim magazine interviewed Prof. Dr. Burcu Yavuz Tiftikçigil, Director of Istanbul Medipol University Sustainable Development Application and Research Center, for the theme of "Green Economic Transformation" in its new issue.

In her interview, she said, "The European Union (EU) announced to the world that the actions determined within the scope of the Green Deal which was announced in 2019. The Green Deal will be carried out based on sustainable development goals and at the same time announced its new development strategy to the world. With this Green Deal, which we can call green economic transformation, the EU emphasizes the necessity of such a green transformation not only in its own continent but also worldwide. This process also greatly affects our exports and our economic relations with the European Union." Prof. Dr. Burcu Yavuz Tiftikçigil said, "Carbon-intensive sectors need to be transformed urgently."
