Midwifery students took their professional oath

A symposium was organized by Istanbul Medipol University School of Health Sciences, Department of Midwifery. At the symposium held at the South Campus, 242 midwifery students took their professional oath. The Head of the Department of Midwifery Faculty Member Dr. Asiye Kocatürk and the Manager of Medipol Mega University Hospital Nursing Services Meryem Kapancı, academicians, graduates, and students attended the ceremony. Delivering the opening speech at the ceremony, Dr. Asiye Kocatürk said that as the Department of Midwifery, they have had 754 graduates thus far. Noting that midwifery education is a teamwork, Dr. Kocatürk stated that Medipol’s strength in the health field increases the quality of education. She added: “You have received a very good education despite the pandemic and earthquakes. You have been trained very well professionally. In total, there are 84 midwifery departments in Türkiye. In this sense, you will feel the advantages of graduating from Medipol, which has a strong health infrastructure, throughout your professional life. We are always here for you, and we are with you whenever you need us. But do not forget that education is a lifelong adventure. In this sense, continue to improve yourself while working. Follow the developments in your profession closely. Finally, I am grateful to everyone who contributed to your upbringing, and I thank them. May your path be clear, and your professional life be full of success.”
