Sector managers came together at the ‘7th Career Summit’

The “Career Summit”, organized for the seventh time this year by Istanbul Medipol University Human Resources Club, has ended.

The “7th Career Summit” organized under the leadership of Istanbul Medipol University Human Resources Club has ended. The summit, which started with the opening speech of Assoc. Prof. Pelin Vardarlıer, Head of the Department of Human Resources Management, brought together company managers operating on a global scale with students. While a qualified and effective communication was established between the guests and the students at the summit, various job and internship opportunities were also offered to the students. L’oreal Türkiye HR Director Murat Yüksel, Fast Spor Co-Founder Murat Can Elmalı, MİA Consultancy Founders Musa Laz and Halil İbrahim Yıldırım, Kanal D Main News Reporter İbrahim Konar, and Cengiz Holding HR/Recruitment Manager Kübra Ekinci attended the summit held at the South Campus Conference Hall. Vardarlıer, who made the opening speech of the summit, thanked the participants by underlining that the Human Resources Club, which organized the organization, served as a bridge between companies and students.

YÜKSEL: RISING GENERATION Z STARTED ASKING QUESTIONS TO COMPANIES
Speaking at the summit, L’oreal Türkiye HR Director Murat Yüksel told the students about his experiences and said that there are two important criteria that affect recruitment processes. Noting that command of a foreign language and membership of non-governmental organizations have an impact on HR, Yüksel said: “Generation Z started to ask companies questions, such as ‘I will offer you my labor, you will help me develop myself, but what are you doing for the environment?’ Generation Z looks at the back of the products they buy and checks how much damage they cause to nature and the environment. Brands and other people developed awareness of these issues thanks to Generation Z.”

ELMALI: BE HONEST IN BUSINESS LIFE
Fast Spor Founding Partner Murat Can Elmalı said that 90 percent of business development is possible with a personal business network. Stating that he made this situation a motto for himself, Elmalı continued as follows: “No one will give you a job because you have a good resume and have done successful projects. All employers provide jobs as a result of bilateral relations. People want to work with positive people. No one wants to do business with people who emit negative energy and with whom they have problems. While you are a student, establish a dialog with people and try to develop your business network. If not today, you will benefit tomorrow. Secondly, never lie in business life. Honesty will provide you with important gains for the future.”
