Medipol supports children’s development journey

The project titled “Developmental Steps Towards Adolescence Between the Ages of 7-12”, carried out by Istanbul Medipol University School of Health Sciences and supported by the Social Contribution Commission, was successfully completed. The project aimed to support the social, emotional, and cognitive development of children.

The project titled “Developmental Steps Towards Adolescence Between the Ages of 7-12”, carried out by Istanbul Medipol University School of Health Sciences Child Development Program and supported by the Social Contribution Commission, was completed after a 10-week intensive program. The project, aimed at children between the ages of 7 and 12 under state protection at Istanbul Bahçelievler Şeyh Zayed Children’s Home, focused on cognitive, language-communication, and physical skills, with workshops supporting social-emotional development. The project aimed to help children develop positive relationships with their peers and increase their ability to recognize, interpret, and express their emotions. It also contributed to the holistic development of children by raising awareness on self-regulation and self-control skills.

STUDENTS APPLIED THEORETICAL KNOWLEDGE
The project also provided undergraduate students studying in the Child Development Program with the opportunity to apply their theoretical knowledge. The project, carried out under the supervision of Prof. Arzu Yükselen, Lecturer Pervin Baysan, Lecturer Aziz Küçükkelepçe, and Research Assistant Münevver Emir, aimed to support children to take positive steps towards their future and contributed to their holistic development.
