Neuroscience Compass: Brain-Cognition Research Summer School ends

The “Neuroscience Compass: Brain-Cognition Research Summer School 2024”, which lasted five days and included participants aiming to pursue graduate studies in the field of neuroscience, has been completed.

The “Neuroscience Compass: Brain-Cognition Research Summer School 2024” organized in collaboration of Istanbul Medipol University Graduate School of Health Sciences (SABE), Research Institute for Health Sciences and Technologies (SABITA), and Neuroscience Society of Turkey (TÜBAS) has concluded. The opening speech of the five-day program, which included participants aiming to pursue graduate studies in the field of neuroscience, was made by Prof. Gürkan Öztürk, Dean of Bolu Abant Izzet Baysal University School of Medicine. In the trainings held at the South Campus, International School of Medicine faculty member Prof. Bahar Güntekin gave a presentation titled “Electroencephalogram (EEG) Signal Analysis,” while School of Medicine faculty member Prof. Lütfü Hanoğlu gave presentations titled “Combined Use of Neuroimaging and Neuromodulation” and “How Does the Brain Build the Mind?” Two separate trainings were conducted by the School of Humanities and Social Sciences faculty member Assoc. Prof. Erol Yıldırım, titled “Cognitive/Neuropsychological Tests and Cognitive Paradigms Used in Clinics and Research” and “Paper-Pencil and Computer-Assisted Application of Cognitive Tests”. The program, whose main aim is to fill the knowledge and methodological gaps in the field of neuroscience, will continue in the coming years.
